Pearls in Education through Virtual Media

Capacity building for teaching in virtual and hybrid environments requires access to updated and relevant scientific evidence. With this aim, the Virtual Campus for Public Health of PAHO and the National University of the South of Argentina, through its Center for Health Professions Education, have created this thematic repository of selected and commented articles.

This space seeks to facilitate access to recent research on health education mediated by technology, organized around topics of interest such as collaborative learning, competency-based education, learning assessment, educational climate, and the application of emerging technologies—such as artificial intelligence—in the training of health professionals.

Each article includes a technical commentary and is available in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, along with the link to the full text. Publications will be periodic and participation opportunities will be promoted, such as open comments and virtual seminars on topics of greatest interest to the educational community of the Virtual Campus for Public Health.

This repository is part of a joint effort to strengthen continuing education in health, promoting innovative and evidence-based teaching practices.

If you wish to provide feedback on the contents of this repository or suggest an article for commentary, you may write to cvsp@paho.org. All included articles are open access.
