PAHO carried out an inter-generational dialogue around the international theme “From Clicks to Progress: Youth Digital Pathways for Sustainable Development” with a focus on leveraging the transformative power of digital technology towards achievement of the SDG 3 targets for and with young people in Latin America and the Caribbean.

This virtual event commemorated the International Youth Day (IYD) 2024, which emphasizes the role of digital technology in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Young people, as digital generations and visionaries, are the driving force behind digitization and innovation and have the transformative power of technologies to address global challenges.

Objective(s) of the meeting: 
  1. Explore the digital transitions in health, PAHO’s work in this area, and the implications for young people.
  2. Discuss how PAHO and other stakeholders can support young people in LAC to successfully navigate technological transitions in health and health care.
  3. Explore how young people in LAC can help shape digital trends and innovation in their communities and networks to help accelerate achievement of the SDG3 targets.
