
The webinar is primarily aimed at primary care health teams, including physicians, nurses, health promoters, community workers, and other professionals responsible for the prevention, detection, and management of NCDs in PHC services. It is also open to health policymakers, NCD program managers, academics, civil society representatives, and researchers, who play a key role in the implementation and scalability of PHC strengthening strategies in the Region.
PAHO has developed the "Better Care for NCDs" Introductory Course, a 15-hour self-administered program that introduces the key principles of the initiative and provides practical tools for identifying priorities and opportunities for improvement in PHC services. This course is part of the Organization's efforts to strengthen the ongoing training of health personnel, contributing to improved response in the comprehensive management of NCDs.
