PAHO’s Regional Program on Bioethics and Quality and Regulation of Medicines and Health Technologies Unit invite you to participate in the next seminar of our series of seminars focused on clinical trials. This session will address the role of artificial intelligence in the work of research ethics committees, with special focus on the challenges and opportunities it offers for strengthening the ethics review of research.

Objective(s) of the event
  • Identify and analyze the main ethical and regulatory challenges posed by the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in research, especially in clinical trials and studies involving human subjects.
  • Explore opportunities to strengthen ethics review of research using AI, including how it can support ethics committees in evaluating protocols and protecting participants.
