Medical Careers and Residential Health

During the months of August and October, two seminars will held for upgrade of human resources in health.

These seminars raised expectations of a rich dynamic interplay based on open dialogue, confluent and creative about the conditions and possibilities that owns each of the topics to be analyzed, perceived trends as well as the role that the participants have in the generation of new contributions to be observers and creators in the management of these processes in each country.

The main objective of these seminars is to build a space for reflection and analysis of political and organizational contexts, health institutions, professional practices and knowledge about the current capabilities to respond to the challenges of public health policies and Human Resources to guide the transformation of systems, plans and models of care based on PHC.

Participants will be graduates of professional courses Leadership Human Resources, Managenment, Health and Safety of healthcare workers that have developed in the classroom Virtual Campus of Public Health and CIRHUS in the Region of the Americas.

Participants will:

  • Suggest documents or items related to the activities.
  • Submit progress in development work or research.
  • Disseminate results of initiatives and strategies implemented.
  • Productions presented, commenting that it was possible to implement and no, its feasibility and viability in relation to the contents applied by the previous online courses.

All will be held for a fortnight of activities through virtual intervention processes via the Internet. A facilitator will guide participants to identify problems, the most important challenges, identify the various practices developed to address the problems and the best capabilities that support the institutional challenges.

At the end of the seminar the participant will be awarded a certificate of participation.

The scheduled dates for these activities are:

  • Health Career (from 7 until August 22, 2010)
  • Medical Residencies (from 7 until October 22, 2010).
