The self-learning course VIAA (Visual inspection with acetic acid) and cryotherapy for cervical cancer prevention is available.
This course is intended for physicians and nurses to understand the theoretical basis of the technique of visual inspection of the cervix and cryotherapy, as a method of screening and treatment of precancerous lesions.
The course was developed through collaboration between JHPIEGO Corporation, PATH, National Cancer Institute of Colombia (INC) and the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases Peru (INEN) in the draft PATH: 'Screening Technologies to Advance Rapid Testing for Cervical Cancer Prevention-Utility and Program Planning (START-UP) ''.
Who fulfill course requirements will receive a certificate for 30 hours granted by the Virtual Campus for Public Health, PAHO.
Clarifies that the course is introductory, so that certification to be given not endorse the healthcare for the application of the technique of VIAA and cryotherapy.
