Already begun the 3rd. current version of the virtual course "Capacity Development for the renewal of PHC"

In order to promote the development of the renewal of Primary Care in the Region of the Americas by strengthening the capacities of leaders and managers of health, was launched on 29 April 2010, the third version virtual course "Development capabilities for the renewal of PHC".

This course will last 200 hours, about 8 hours per week and has an enrollment of 93 students from 18 countries in the region: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The course aims to help health managers in making decisions in the process of developing health systems based on PHC. Throughout the six modules are offered the opportunity to review key aspects such as values, principles and essential elements of health systems based on PHC. Also, through equitable access, the comprehensive approach and management of health services, students can analyze the cornerstones in the operationalization of the strategy for renewal of PHC.

Virtual course Renewal PHC is aimed at leaders and managers of health systems and services, academics and health professionals to exert influence on groups of opinion and is part of the strategy of strengthening technical cooperation and Systems Health Services of PAHO.
