Ethics oversight of COVID-19 research in response to emerging evidence
The rapid production of evidence in the pandemic makes the ethics oversight of ongoing research increasingly difficult. PAHO's Regional Program on Bioethics analyzed with experts from the region a new PAHO´s document about the "Guidance for Ethics Oversight of COVID-19 Research in Response to Emerging Evidence” and the challenges of ensuring adequate ethics oversight in Latin America and the Caribbean.
The purpose of this virtual seminar was to share with members of ethics committees from various countries in the region the experiences of ethics supervision in light of the new evidence and to present the PAHO document on the subject https://iris.paho.org/handle/10665.2/53021
