How to promote the use of social media in education and training and adult education systems in Europe. Practical example of the European project SVEA

More and more applications use social media like Twitter, blogs and Facebook in our daily lives both personally and professionally. In addition, many educational institutions are becoming aware that these applications can be integrated effectively in their learning systems. However, for the moment there are very few who use them to modernize their education systems and offer more focused on which to learn.

In order to promote the benefits and, therefore, the use of social media in the systems of vocational and adult education, requires the adoption of specific measures. One of these is to provide trainers with the necessary knowledge to integrate Web 2.0 applications in the training they provide, and encourage its use in the field of education and training (VET).
