Virtual seminar series on topics related to clinical trials

The Regional Program on Bioethics and the Unit of Quality and Regulation of Medicines and Health Technologies of PAHO invite you to participate in this series of virtual seminars that will address topics related to clinical trials. Many of these topics lie at the intersection of ethical and regulatory aspects. 

The second session called Data Monitoring Committees (DMCs) and the role of ethics focused on the role of DMCs and the ethical considerations that these committees should take into account when assessing data of ongoing clinical trials. 

This session was carried out on July 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (Washington D.C. time) with English-Spanish translation.

Objective(s) of the meeting: 

To specify and discuss the ethical considerations that Data Monitoring Committees (DMCs) should consider in the evaluation data of clinical trials.
