Started the 3rd. current version of the "Tutors for Learning Network"
On April 15, 2010 began the third version of the Course Tutors Learning Network. This course will last 12 weeks, during which time it is estimated that participants will put into the course an average of 6 hours per week flexible schedules and distributed according to their capabilities.
The enrollment has 66 students from 17 countries, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Dominican Republic and Uruguay. These students will be tutored by seven teachers from Argentina, Cuba, and Mexico.
The course will be distributed as follows:
- Introductory Module
- Module 1: Orientation to learning
- Module 2: The tutor and communication in virtual environments
- Module 3: Monitoring and evaluation of learning
This course aims to enable the exercise of tutoring, as a mode of teaching and learning, and recognition and utilization of the potentialities of the learning environment offered by the Virtual Campus of Public Health. It also will offer educational alternatives to actual teaching and semi-face of public health education programs in which participants play.
It is hoped that this experience promotes a network of tutors of Public Health in the Region, for the exchange and development of educational projects continuing education of health personnel and online learning.
