Reunión sobre la Adaptación de las habilidades de los Programas de Salud Pública del Caribe InglésThe Pan American Health Organization (PAHO / WHO) recognizes that health systems of the XXI century must confront new challenges in achieving the goals of national and international health to a globalized world. The Health Agenda for the Americas 2008-2017 sets an ambitious set of priorities and commitments which require intersectoral and international action for achieving an equitable and inclusive

It is in this context that the Leaders in International Health Program "Edmundo Granda Ugalde" to contribute to developing the Health Agenda for the Americas 2008-2017 by strengthening the capacities of countries in the region to understand, act and influence positively on the international determinants of health, promote their interests and coordinate intersectoral action on health in international areas, guided by the principle of greater global equity in health.

The Leaders in International Health Program "Edmundo Granda Ugalde" in the version for 2010, will be renovated incorporating an updated curriculum, new learning modules based on problems and a decentralized operating model in terms of improving the capacity of participants to integrate learning to the current context of their countries.

This program will be held within the Virtual Campus of Public Health , a virtual space that contributes to the development of the workforce in public health through the exchange of learning resources and networking.
