En este articulo, los especialistas Sergio Meresman, Rosangela Berman Bieler y Katia Edmundo analizan los hallazgos más relevantes del reciente Informe Mundial acerca de la Discapacidad y comentan sobre experiencias educativas y sanitarias de inclusión en Brasil y Uruguay. Los niños que presentan alguna forma de discapacidad están en dificultad para asistir y completar sus estudios con el riesgo consiguiente en los ODM y de Educación para Todos. Producido por el Banco Mundial y la OMS el Informe sugiere que los aproximadamente 150 millones de niños con discapacidad enfrentan numerosas barreras a la salud y la educación que incluyen el estigma y la discriminación

One of the findings of the recently released World Report on Disability is that children with disabilities are less likely to attend and complete school putting at risk international targets for Education for All.

Produced by the World Bank and by WHO the report suggests that the estimated 150 million children with disabilities face numerous barriers to education including stigma and discrimination. This exclusion can lead to poor health and education outcomes.
